Soccer women provincial champs

Better than all the rest: The UCT women's soccer side to represent the Western Cape at the national SASSU championship.

The women's soccer first team will represent the Western Cape in the national SASSU championships in Port Elizabeth in December.

The side qualified for the honour after winning the local playoff tournament against the Cape and Peninsula technikons, and the universities of Stellenbosch and the Western Cape. UCT won three of its six games, drawing the rest.
