Scholarship Fundraising

The Sports Science Institute of South Africa (SSISA) will be hosting a series of events in order to raise funds for the Ziphelele Mbambo Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship, which was recently established by UCT and is supported by the Institute, aims to encourage students from financially disadvantaged communities to pursue their postgraduate studies in the field of exercise science or biokinetics.

Over the next few months, a range of activities and events will be launched to support the scholarship. The events include:

November 27, 2003 - Station 70, a musical performance at the Theatre on the Bay
March 5, 2004 - Golf Day at the Steenberg golf estate
April 7, 2004 - Phantom of the Opera at the Artscape Theatre
June/July 2004 - Auction of sporting memrobilia and celebrity chef dinner.
