Important lecture details

Don't forget to diarise two important events: Professor Jonathan Jansen will deliver the 41st TB Davie Memorial Lecture, Accounting for Autonomy: How Higher Education Lost its Innocence, on August 26 at 13h00 in Lecture Theatre 2A in the Leslie Social Science Building. A distinguished educationist, Jansen is Dean of Education at the University of Pretoria and a noted commentator on tertiary education matters. All are welcome to attend.

In addition, please note that Dr Mark Saul (programme director: Elementary, Secondary and Informal Education National Science Foundation, USA) will deliver a lecture titled The Teacher and the Mathematics: Significant Mathematical Themes in Classroom Mathematics, on Wednesday August 18, 2004, from 13h00 to 13h45 in Room 320, in the Mathematics Building.
