Here's something to pep you up: the popular Wellness Week for staff will be held again from April 13 to 15 in the Graduate School for Humanities quad from 11h00 to 15h00.
There will be a cornucopia of exhibitors waiting to pamper you and answer health questions. These range from the Cape Institute of Allied health Studies (lots of complementary therapies). Test your fitness levels at Body IQ.
A Sanlam consultant will be on hand to discuss estates and trusts with you. Popular among staff last time around was the Cape Town Academy of Shiatsu, so pop in to their stall and find out how they can improve your health.
The Diabetic Association of South Africa will be there as well as Sportron, who are fundis on vitamins and minerals. You can also have your eyes screened and there will be facilities for HIV voluntary counselling and testing.
And for those who need some de-stressing, two-day stress management workshops are for March 8 and 14. These will be run by the Staff Learning Centre.
This programme has been designed to help staffers become aware of the role of stress in their lives, help them identify their optimum stress levels.
