A few weeks ago, shortly before the exam benches lined the sports centre, the curtain fell on the 2005 UCT indoor soccer league. There was some celebration to be done first, though. Celebrity FC beat Ruff Ryderz in the season-closer, the knockout final. That was Celebrity's second win of the year - a few days before they also beat Shaolin FC in the tournament knockout final, played along the lines of the European Champions League, where the top two teams from each of UCT's four divisions vie for overall glory. Shaolin didn't go into exams empty-handed, though. They were crowned champions of the top division, the premier league.
