Password self-service

As part of the supaTsela ICT renewal project, ICTS will be implementing a password self-service for students, which allows students to reset their own (expired or forgotten) passwords online from anywhere that they have access to a web browser. This feature will be available to students from the beginning of 2006.

Before students can use this service, they need to log in to a web interface and set up the answers to their challenge response questions, which will be used to verify their identity. This means that if they ever need to change their password, they will navigate to the password self-service page, enter their username, provide the answers to the challenge questions and change their password.

No more standing in line waiting for someone else to change it for them.
