Correction
In the Monday Paper of Volume 24 No 28, we incorrectly reported that Professor Phillip Tobias of Wits University had received the Editor's Award from the Academy of Science of South Africa because he stepped in as editor of the South African Journal of Science when the occasion called. The award was in fact "in recognition of his sustained and unstinting contribution of advice, original articles and personal encouragement during the last quarter-century". We regret the error.
