SRC centenary exhibition

This year we celebrate the centenary of the Students' Representative Council (SRC) and student governance at UCT.

On the eve of National Youth Day, and coinciding with the mid-year graduation, we launched a photographic exhibition of SRCs at UCT over the years. We acknowledge the role that student leadership has played in contributing to the growth of our institution - the exhibition seeks to celebrate this contribution. Over the years we have seen growing numbers of women come to the fore to join their male counterparts as student leaders, and an increasingly inclusive student body is also reflected in the changing profile of student leadership.

The exhibition is currently on display in the Senate Room foyer of the Bremner Building and will move to the Chancellor Oppenheimer Library in September.
