UCT's Faculty of Commerce has signed an agreement with the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA), a global association for investment professionals that awards the chartered financial analyst designation. The partnership, signed (in the picture) by Professor Melvin Ayogu, dean of the faculty, and Dennis McLeavey, head of professional development content at the CFA, will allow UCT students to both complete the Bachelor of Science in Finance and prepare for the CFA programme at the same time. That puts them on the front foot when entering the industry. UCT is one of just three South African institutions that are among the CFA's 78 programme partners in the world.
