Netball courts

The middle campus netball courts must make way for parking facilities for the new School of Economics building, and will be replaced by new courts to the north of Kopano residence below Welgelegen (site pictured above). Construction of the three surfaced, floodlit courts will start early in 2011. "What with it being next to the all-weather-surface soccer field, the Rhodes Recreation Ground and in close proximity to the UCT gym, we will create a sports circle," said Chris Briers, UCT project and engineering manager.
