Message to staff on campus disruptions

Dear colleagues

Many of you will be aware that there have been disruptions to university operations today caused by groups of protesters moving around campus. All staff are required to comply with their employment obligations and to remain at work, subject at all times to health and safety considerations.

Although unions and their members may support student demands, employees are not allowed to leave work stations and are obliged to support university operations at all times, including (and in particular) during protests or disruptions of this nature.
