Die Dans van die Watermeid, the debut work of playwright Amee Lekas, comes to the Baxter Theatre this November.
The piece features UCT alumni Rehane Abrahams, Ephraim Gordon, Gretchen Ramsden, Celeste Matthews and Deidre Jantjies in a talented ensemble of seven.
Set in the town of Willowmore in the Klein Karoo, a community presided over by the church, sweeps its troubles under the rug.
Amid a myriad social issues flits the mythical figure of the water nymph, whose dance reverberates with the promise of rain and of deliverance.
The show runs from 1 to 25 November.
