Eskom has announced in a power alert that stage 4 load shedding will again be implemented on Wednesday, 20 March 2019.
The main UCT website remains temporarily unavailable at this time. The the staff and student websites, as well as all other UCT websites housed in Drupal, are also affected. Please check UCT’s social media accounts for the latest updates.

ICTS had started the process of bringing the UCT network and IT services back up.

Due to a generator failure, the upper campus datacentre is off-line. This affects the network and most core systems. Since we are in the midst of severe load shedding, a decision regarding when and how to restart the services will be taken once an assessment of the condition of the backup power has been made. We will provide further information once available.
