Candidate presentations for VC recruitment process

Dear colleagues

The selection committee for the appointment of a Vice-Chancellor for the University of Cape Town (UCT) has reached a final shortlist of three candidates. These candidates will make presentations on Thursday, 4 April 2024 between 09:00 and 11:30. UCT staff members are invited to join proceedings online.

The presentations will be via MS Teams.

The shortlisted candidates are:

• Professor Nellie Nosisi Feza – 09:05–09:45
• Professor Matlagolo Mosa Moshabela – 09:55–10:35
• Professor José Frantz – 10:45–11:25

The candidates will present on the topic:

“UCT is ranked as the premier African university. What would your priorities, with specific actions, be in your first two years as VC to consolidate this status taking into account both emerging opportunities and challenges, as well as the ongoing need for transformation of the institution?”
