UCT's Graduate School of Business (GSB) has been rated first in the African category of "Universal Business School with Major International Influence" by SMBG's Eduniversal.

This rating was determined by an international committee of 12 members from five continents who are experts in the educational field. One thousand schools from over 150 countries were ranked by the panel.

"In the past year the school has received a fourth consecutive global top 100 ranking for its MBA programme, a full five-year re-accreditation by the European Quality Improvement System, the European Foundation for Management Development and a top 12 rating for its executive programme by the Economist Intelligence Unit," says Professor Frank Horwitz, director of the GSB.

SMBG, a French company specialising in student orientation, set up Eduniversal to lay the foundation for a global federation of education. This year it presented its first selection of the best business schools, listed according to their capacity for international influence.
