When Dr Chad Centner participated in Information and Communication Technology Services (ICTS) survey on students' IT experiences, he simply filled in the form, not realising that respondents stood a chance of winning a prize.
His honesty in that survey has landed Centner, who is doing his master's of science in medicine, a brand new Proline Netbook, sponsored by Proline.
The ICTS survey, which took place from 15 April until 2 May, set out to determine the students' experiences of ICT services at UCT. Kira Chernotsky, head of the Customer Services Division at ICTS, reports that 10% of students took part in the survey.
"The results have given ICTS an insightful view into student usage, and have provided us with a number of actionable items to improve our services," Chernotsky says.
