Pan Africanism was the theme of the night as Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, chairperson of the African Union Commission, delivered the 14th Steve Biko Memorial Lecture on 2 October.
Dlamini-Zuma outlined how - and why - Pan Africanism could be the means to the ultimate goal of a prosperous and united African society. In an unusual turn of events for the annual lecture, Dlamini-Zuma agreed to take questions from the packed Jameson Hall audience.
