Vice-Chancellor’s student farewell event and other updates

This campus announcement aims to inform members of the University of Cape Town community about:
1. Vice-Chancellor’s student farewell event
All UCT students are invited to a farewell event for Vice-Chancellor Dr Max Price on Monday, 21 May, from 13:00 to 15:00 in the Memorial Hall. Students are also invited to send their video, text, voice or picture messages to the VC as his term of office draws to a close.
2. Inaugural lecture: Professor Crick Lund
The next Vice-Chancellor’s Inaugural Lecture will take place on Wednesday, 23 May 2018, at the New Learning Centre Lecture Theatre in the Anatomy Building in the Faculty of Health Sciences. The lecture, titled “Ten reasons to invest in population mental health in low- and middle-income countries”, will be presented by Professor Crick Lund. Please RSVP by Monday, 21 May.

3. Single Sign-On upgrade
The Information and Communication Technology Services (ICTS) will be upgrading the university’s Single Sign-On (SSO) service on Sunday, 20 May 2018. There will be no change to the site’s functionality, nor any effect on your access to services included under the current SSO environment. However, the sign-on screen will look different after the upgrade is completed.
