In remembrance: Anthony Europa

We are saddened to inform you that Mr Anthony Europa (62), assistant maintenance manager in Properties and Services (P&S), passed away on Monday, 18 March 2019.
Mr Europa joined P&S as a buildings and infrastructure technical inspector in February 2015. In January 2019 he was promoted to assistant maintenance manager in the Residence Maintenance Department.
His colleagues describe him as a gentle man who was always willing to help and who put his clients first. He has also been described as a very quiet person who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching rugby and soccer, and looking at ancient architecture was one of his favourite pastimes.
Mr Europa is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, 25 March 2019, at 11:00 in Rochester House Main Hall. Details of the funeral service are not yet finalised.
The university has reached out to the family to offer support in this time of bereavement. We extend our sincere condolences to Mr Europa’s family, friends, colleagues and all who knew him.
