In remembrance: Riaan Adams

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Mr Riaan Adams (42), a food service assistant at the medical school kitchen. Mr Adams passed away during the early hours of Saturday morning, 29 June 2019.
He started working at the University of Cape Town as a general assistant for a service provider in 2014 and was later insourced by the university on 1 November 2016.
Colleagues have described Mr Adams as a humble, hard-working individual who was always willing to assist. He will be fondly remembered for his big smile, friendliness and huge heart for others. He is survived by his mother; his wife, Carmenita Adams; and three children.
A memorial service will be held for Mr Adams on Thursday, 4 July 2019, at 14:00 at the Medical Residence in Anzio Road.
We convey our heartfelt condolences to Mr Adams’ family, friends and all who knew him.
