The loud and proud Pride March, the colourful highlight of the University of Cape Town’s (UCT) Rainbow Week, saw the plaza packed with people eager to celebrate inclusivity on campus. Hosted by Rainbow UCT and the Office for Inclusivity and Change (IOC), the aim was to encourage the entire campus community to make UCT a more welcoming space for its gender- and sexually-diverse students and staff. The events, which started on 7 October and run until today, 11 October, included a queer poetry open mic night, panel discussions that unpacked issues within LGBTQIA+, and live performances. Brenton Geach was there to photograph all the action.
