In remembrance: Thembinkosi Pilisani

It is with great sorrow that we share news of the passing of Mr Thembinkosi Pilisani (60) on the morning of Monday, 6 January 2020, at Eerste River Hospital.
At the time of his passing Mr Pilisani was a Campus Protection Services (CPS) officer, a role he assumed in July 2016.
He will be remembered as a very dedicated worker who had good relationships with all his colleagues. He was known as a calm, quiet person who loved his children very much. He will be sadly missed by all his colleagues.
Mr Pilisani is survived by his wife, five children and a sister.
The funeral will take place at Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape on 19 January 2020.
The university has reached out to offer support to the Pilisani family, and our deepest condolences go out to them and all who knew Mr Pilisani.
