The next instalment in the University of Cape Town’s (UCT) series of challenging conversations – Unleashing the new global university – is scheduled for Monday 13 July 2020. Both international and local speakers are taking part in this stimulating series of virtual events.
The second conversation will focus on whether or not the disruption to the current higher education model can bring about a shift in the centre of gravity in international collaborations and help us to reimagine a different approach that empowers African institutions to take the lead in collaborative projects and partnerships both within and outside the continent.
UCT vice-chancellor Mamokgethi Phakeng will host the event, which will be moderated by obstetrician, gynaecologist, and professor in global surgery Salome Maswime.
