The world is Changing, are we? This was the question posed by UCT Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng, as she kicked off the first of the six Vision 2030 virtual engagements with staff on 28 July 2020.
Staff in pay class 11 and above were invited to the first engagement in the series aimed at unpacking the proposed Vision 2030 framework and allow staff members to interact with the executive for input.
These virtual roadshows presented the Vision 2030 framework conceptualised by over 100 participants, including UCT’s academic and professional, administrative support and service (PASS) staff. The Vision 2030 roadshows allowed all sectors of UCT staff to engage with the strategy, ask questions, give feedback and discuss practical solutions for achieving UCT’s Vision 2030.
