In remembrance: Mitchell Shegofatso Mohale

It is with heavy hearts that we write to inform you of the passing of Mr Mitchell Shegofatso Mohale on 15 September 2020 after he was involved in a tragic car accident.
At the time of his passing Mr Mohale was a second-year student studying towards a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics and Physics in the Faculty of Science.
He is remembered as a diligent student who was committed to his studies. He was a loving and kind soul who showed respect to everyone around him. Mr Mohale was family oriented and protective over his siblings and was someone they could constantly learn from. He will be dearly missed and will always remain in the hearts of his family, his close classmates and friends and those in the UCT community who knew and interacted with him.
He is survived by his mother, Ms Refilwe Mohale, and his siblings – Mmabotse, Mohau and Onako. Mr Mohale was laid to rest on 26 September 2020.
Our sincere condolences to the Mohale family on the passing of their beloved son. We have reached out to them and are keeping the family in our thoughts.
