In remembrance: Sokhaya Timothy (Tim) Dlelapantsi

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the death of Mr Sokhaya Timothy (Tim) Dlelapantsi (65), who passed away on Friday, 4 December 2020, due to natural causes.
Mr Dlelapantsi worked at the university for 35 years as a library assistant. He will be remembered as a father figure by his colleagues and for his smile, which was always an encouragement in the Centlivres building and at the library. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and worked with him.
Mr Dlelapantsi is survived by his wife, Nolitha; children, Busiwe, Lungisani, Babalwa and Lubabalo; and four grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, 19 December 2020, in Keiskammahoek, Eastern Cape.
The university has reached out to the family to offer support in this time of bereavement. Our sincere condolences go out to Mr Dlelapantsi’s family, friends, colleagues and all who knew him.
