In remembrance: Chumile Kunyalele

It is with immense sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our student, Mr Chumile Kunyalele (22). He passed away at home on Tuesday, 6 April 2021.
Mr Kunyalele was studying towards a Bachelor of Social Science degree, majoring in religious studies, in the Faculty of Humanities.
He has been described as a quiet young man who had a smile that could light up a room. He was always considerate and treated people with respect.
Mr Kunyalele is survived by his mother, Veliswa; father, Zithandele; and siblings, Yongama and Lebu.
He will be laid to rest on Saturday, 24 April in Mqanduli, Eastern Cape.
The university has reached out to offer support to the bereaved family, and our heartfelt condolences go out to them and all who knew Mr Kunyalele.
