In remembrance: Nonkoliso Plaatjie

It is with immense sadness that we write to inform you of the death of our colleague Ms Nonkoliso Plaatjie (38) on 13 May 2021.
Ms Plaatjie was a campus protection officer at the UCT Graduate School of Business. She had been part of the UCT community since October 2017 and will be dearly missed.
Colleagues will remember Ms Plaatjie as a very humble person who displayed her experience in everything that she did. She was committed to her work and was always willing to assist guests and staff in need.
Ms Plaatjie is survived by her son Mphumzi.
The funeral has been arranged for Saturday, 22 May 2021 in Nqadu, Eastern Cape.
The university is in contact with her family and has reached out to offer support during this time of grief. Our thoughts are with the family and all who knew Ms Plaatjie.
