In remembrance: Nomonde Florence Welemtsha

It is with heartfelt sadness that we inform you of the passing of our colleague, Ms Nomonde Florence Welemtsha (34), on Sunday, 27 June 2021.
Ms Welemtsha started working at the University of Cape Town as a cleaner in the Student Housing and Residence Life department in July 2016.
Colleagues will remember her as very humble and dependable. She had a beautiful personality and was always willing to go the extra mile.
Ms Welemtsha is survived by her spouse, Mr Sibongiseni Welemtsha; parents, Ms Bukelwa Gonya and Mr Walase Ncewula; three children, Liya Gonya, Anondumo and Bhefa Welemtsha; and sister, Ms Yonela Gonya.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, 10 July 2021, in Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape.
The university has reached out to offer support to the Welemtsha family and our sincere condolences go out to them and all who knew and loved her during this time of bereavement.
