In remembrance: Johannes Petrus Conradie

It is with deep sense of sadness that we write to inform you of the passing of our colleague, Mr Johannes Petrus Conradie (57), on Sunday, 8 August 2021.
Mr Conradie was a handyperson in the Department of Student Affairs. He joined the University of Cape Town in June 2013.
He will be fondly remembered by his colleagues and students as an approachable person with an easy laugh and a strong work ethic.
He leaves behind his wife Petronella; children Nicole and Johannes; and three grandchildren. His funeral was held on Friday, 13 August 2021.
The university has reached out to offer support to the Conradie family. We convey our sincere condolences to the family and all who knew Mr Conradie.
