In Remembrance: Xoliswa Portia Madolo

It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the passing of our colleague, Ms Xoliswa Madolo (38), on 19 January 2023.
Ms Madolo joined the university in 2007 and was a finance officer in the Department of Finance.
Her colleagues will miss her outgoing bubbly personality, sense of humour, kind-heartedness, confidence, and her positive outlook. She was regarded as being the life of the office and brought a lot of joy into the working environment. Ms Madolo was a proud mother and strong woman of faith, with insight and knowledge beyond her years. She will be remembered for her impeccable fashion sense.
She is survived by her mother, Ntombizanele Madolo; daughter Inam; and son Inathi.
A UCT memorial service to celebrate her life was held on 25 January 2023 at Bremner. She will be laid to rest on Saturday, 28 January in Nyanga.
The university has reached out to offer support to the Madolo family, and our heartfelt condolences go out to them and all who knew our late colleague.
