The University of Cape Town’s (UCT) Disability Service unit in partnership with the Students with Disabilities Forum invite members of the campus community, their families and friends to power up and join the disability inclusive walk around the Rondebosch Common on Saturday, 22 April.
The 5 km walk has been arranged to commemorate World Earth Day, observed annually on 22 April, and to encourage physical and mental well-being by spending time outdoors while engaged in physical activity. The walk kicks off at 10:00 at the Rustenburg Girls High School side of the Rondebosch Common. It is easily accessible for wheelchair users and is open to all members of the campus community, as well as the public.
So, grab your sunhat, lace up those walking shoes and don’t forget your sunscreen as you get ready to soak up the autumn sun and enjoy a leisurely morning stroll. Volunteers from the Disability Service unit will be available on the day to assist participants with disabilities.
