Delayed payment of November salaries

Dear colleagues

The University of Cape Town (UCT) has been alerted that, due to what appear to be unforeseen technical glitches, staff salaries were not paid as planned on 24 November 2023.

The Human Resources (HR) department is attending to this issue with the utmost urgency. The intention is to resolve the matter today.

While the immediate priority lies in resolving the issue and ensuring that salaries are paid as soon as possible, the HR Department will also as a matter of urgency work with the relevant internal and external parties to establish what led to this glitch, in order to avert any possible recurrence in future.

UCT apologises profusely for any inconvenience caused.
