Dear colleagues
Staff members are gently reminded to participate in the research project focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in relation to assessment by 1 November 2024.
Your insights are crucial as we work towards shaping University of Cape Town’s (UCT) approach to responding to and integrating generative AI in teaching, learning and assessment. Thank you to all staff members who have already completed the questionnaire.
By completing the questionnaire, you’ll contribute to understanding how AI is currently being acknowledged or used in assessments, and identifying potential future applications of AI to enhance assessment practices at UCT.
The findings from this research will help UCT develop support services and resources to foster AI literacy and ensure the integrity of assessment practices.
We value your participation and kindly ask that all undergraduate and postgraduate teaching staff take 10 minutes to share their experiences and perspectives by completing the questionnaire. No personally identifying information will be required, and the survey has received ethics approval from the Centre for Higher Education Development Research Ethics Committee.
The research is conducted by the UCT Assessment Project Team, which is funded by the University Capacity Development Grant, working with the Assessment Framework Working Group, which has been responsible for revising the recently updated Assessment Policy.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the project assistant, Soraya Lester.
Sincerely
The UCT Assessment Project Team
