Call for inputs: SRC Constitution and Election Regulations amendment

04 April 2025

Dear students

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) Constitution and Election Regulations are currently under review and multiple key stakeholder consultations have resulted in draft amendments to both documents. We now invite the student community to comment on the proposed drafts and amendments.

The SRC Constitution governs student governance structures at the University of Cape Town (UCT). These structures are the SRC, Student Parliament, Student Governance Court, Constitutional Committee, development agencies, societies, house committees, faculty councils and sports clubs.

The Election Regulations outline the procedures for electing these bodies.

Consultation is essential in any review process, and your input as a UCT student is invaluable. As part of this process, we are seeking your insights to help shape the future of student governance at UCT.

Kindly submit your feedback via email, using the subject line “SG Review Input Submission”. The submission deadline is Wednesday, 9 April 2025 before 23:59.

If you have any questions or require assistance, please reach out via email or visit our office on Level 7, Steve Biko Students Union Building.

For more information, please contact Tendai Mikioni.

Sincerely

The People who send CAs for Coding Late on a Friday Afternoon
