UCT for womxn by womxn

As part of celebrating National Women’s Month in August, Vice-Chancellor Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng launched three new substantial scholarships aimed at women in academia.

The launch was part of a UCT National Women’s Day event, For Womxn by Womxn, on 8 August, hosted at Graça Machel Hall residence.

The event saw Professor Phakeng joined by two prominent keynote speakers: UCT Chancellor Graça Machel and former UCT Vice-Chancellor Dr Mamphela Ramphele.
