University of Cape Town (UCT) Vice-Chancellor Dr Max Price bids farewell to the university at the end of June 2018.
Dr Price started his tenure in July 2008, taking over the reins from former vice-chancellor Prof Njabulo Ndebele.
In his 10 years as the leader of the institution, Dr Price led UCT through complex times with the support of his executive team and their staff. Together, the university has much to celebrate with the understanding that our institution is a work in progress and has much to still strive towards.
We review the Vice-Chancellor’s most notable contributions to transformation, research and academic excellence, internationalisation, social responsiveness and fostering an environment that celebrates diversity.
