A mental health colloquium for students will be held on Wednesday, 15 August, in Memorial Hall.

Students are invited to a mental health colloquium from 17:30 to 19:30 on Wednesday, 15 August, in Memorial Hall. The event is part of Student Wellness Service’s ‘The Wellness Drive’ week from 13 to 17 August.

Mental health experts will be on hand to discuss relevant mental health topics. The aim is to destigmatise mental health illness and help students take charge of their mental and holistic well-being by identifying mental health challenges and seeking help before these develop.

Students will have a chance to talk frankly about how mental health affects them socially, academically, economically and holistically. The colloquium will create awareness of UCT’s existing student support structures and also provide a platform for students to outline their expectations with regards to mental health interventions.
