The University of Cape Town (UCT) Libraries’ new Primo multi-platform search tool, which has been likened to a 21st-century mining tool, offers staff and students a world-class information-finding solution.
The cloud-based system, which can be accessed from any device, from any location, allows scholars to connect ideas, spot the gaps, and imagine new possibilities, says Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Teaching and Learning, Associate Professor Lis Lange.
Cutting the ribbon to launch the new system, she added that lecturers no longer had an excuse not to add exciting, engaging materials to their curricula.
