New security system launched

A new campus security CCTV control room, costing about R2.5 million and two years in the making, has been launched.

Contractors i to i technologies handed over the revamped CCTV control room at Burnage to UCT at a launch function.

The new control room boasts an array of electronic systems that allows Campus Protection Services to jump from camera-to-camera at the touch of a button.
