Ntokozo Makhaza is a 22-year-old student at the University of Cape Town (UCT); pursuing a Bachelor of Social Science degree in psychology and social development. Alongside his academic endeavours, Makhaza is a dedicated wing and fullback for the UCT Ikey Tigers Rugby Club.
Despite a challenging first year in 2022, where he struggled to adapt to the pace and demands of the game, the support and passion of his teammates fuelled his perseverance and growth.
Ntokozo's second year in 2023 marked a significant improvement in his confidence and performance, which led to his impressive achievement of scoring 100 points by the season's end.
At the 2024 FNB Varsity Cup tournament, Makhaza won the ‘FNB Overall Player That Rocks’, a victory that embodies the rewards of hard work, dedication, and support.
