UCT residences accommodate thousands of students, but we get that not all of you want to live on campus. Here’s a list of alternative student accommodation options for you to choose from.
1. UCT’s Off-Campus Student Accommodation Service comprises private properties located in the university’s vicinity.
2. The largest student marketplace in South Africa, DigsConnect, has connected thousands of students with landlords across the country.
3. Nest offers stylish, safe and secure accommodation options in prime locations in Cape Town and if you’re a student who’s always on the move, this is just the right option for you.
4. CampusKey is a stone throw from UCT’s main campuses and boasts two blocks of trendy apartments, and it’s so near some UCT Shuttle stops too.
5. If safe, affordable and exciting lifestyle accommodation is what you’re after then Student & Life in the heart of Cape Town is where you’re meant to be.
If you’re a parent or guardian from out of town travelling to the Mother City to help your child settle in, there’s a list of private accommodation options close to campus for you to choose from. They’ll all make your temporary stay as comfortable as possible.
- All Africa House is a modern complex set against the backdrop of Table Mountain and conveniently located on UCT’s middle campus.
- Southern Sun Newlands is located just a few minutes’ drive from the UCT main campus. The hotel boasts all the necessary amenities for a short, medium or long stay.
- Protea Hotel Mowbray is housed in a historical Cape Dutch House located adjacent to the N2 highway. The hotel offers guests a comfortable stay and is close to an array of amenities.
