VICE-CHANCELLOR Professor Njabulo Ndebele (centre back) hosted a group of children from various schools in the Province during a recent Readathon campaign to promote reading.

The children brought some of their favourite stories to share with the VC and he, in turn, had an opportunity to read to them and to tell them how reading had made a difference in his life.

Readathon is an annual national awareness campaign prmoting reading and literacy among South Africans. It takes place in 27 000 schools and education centres throughout the country and is supported by public and private enterprise.
