Annabelle Marie, a master's student in the French section of the School of Languages and Literatures, and Sarah Townsend, who is currently doing a gap year in Mauritius, have won much-acclaimed Erasmus Mundus Scholarships.
This European Union initiative promotes partnerships between universities in the EU and Third World countries.
Only 26 scholarships are awarded worldwide.
