On Sunday, 30 April, the University of Cape Town (UCT) ParaSports hosted a Wheelchair Basketball tournament. The club invited the Conquerors Wheelchair Basketball Club from Retreat to play against a combined UCT team featuring players from UCT Basketball, UCT Radio and UCT ParaSports. The combined team was coached by recent alumna Rebecca Cullum (who is a newly certified Level 1 coach after being certified at a coaching workshop at UCT in March). The game itself was a success with the Conquerors winning convincingly. A greater demo day will be held in the second semester to give more students the opportunity to get on the court.

It was a reboot, reunion, and recruitment drive all in one on Sunday, 7 May, where UCT ParaSports hosted a Wheelchair Rugby tournament. The day brought together players from UCT, Stellenbosch University, new students from UCT ParaSports and students from ju-jitsu, fencing, and mountain and ski for an epically loud day. Wheelchair Rugby is a 4-a-side sport mainly played by people with quadriplegia. However, the classification system allows others to play as well.
