On view: Visitor Victor Correia at The Fine Art of Collaboration, an exhibition of international print portfolios on show at the Irma Stern Museum until September 3.
The Fine Art of Collaboration, an exhibition of international print portfolios, will be on show at the Irma Stern Museum until September 3.
The exhibit, presented by Hard Ground Printmakers in Cape Town and curated by Jonathan Comerford, Hard Ground director and artist, sets out to highlight the skill of print collaboration and the technical diversity of the medium. Comprised of a collection of international print portfolios published in conjunction with Hard Ground Printmakers, various curators, workshops and organisations, some of the works are on display in South Africa for the first time.
Collaboration will launch the Artists International Direct Support Portfolio, curated by Canadian artists Hendrikus Bevoets and Rudolf Bikkers, who focus on raising AIDS awareness. Children living with HIV/AIDS in South Africa will benefit from the proceeds of sales.
Comerford will take interested visitors on a walkabout through the exhibition on August 30 at 12h00.
The Irma Stern Museum is open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10h00 to 17h00. The museum can be contacted at 685-5686.
