Jessup's MacDonald-Thomas, coach Shing Mazuzu, Webber and Watson |
Dillon MacDonald-Thomas, Dave Watson and Emma Webber will represent the country at the international round of the Jessup International Law Moot Competition in Washington in April.
The trio, all UCT law students, won the South African round of the prestigious competition, administered by the International Law Students Association.
The international round is sponsored by Shearman & Sterling, White & Case.
Working in teams of three to five members, students from participating higher education law institutions are required to submit written pleadings and present oral arguments to a panel of top judges in a simulated International Court of Justice, providing them with legal experience in a courtroom setting.
