The University of Cape Town (UCT) successfully hosted 15 ceremonies during its autumn graduation week, which ran from 31 March to 4 April.
There was jubilation and heartwarming moments, as more than 5 700 students graduated. The university also conferred an honorary doctorate – Doctor of Science in Medicine (honoris causa) – to clinician-scientist Professor Michael Hayden in recognition of his exceptional contributions to medical science.
