The University of Cape Town's (UCT) Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng, welcomes first-year students, as well as staff and returning students after the year-end break.
Professor Phakeng challenges staff and students to choose at least one area of change to exercise this year to help UCT grow together as a community. Her encouragement is to create a healthy environment filled with compassion and respect for one another and for the earth.
