On 8 March 2025, the University of Cape Town (UCT) celebrated its brightest young minds at a luncheon hosted by Vice-Chancellor Prof Mosa Moshabela. The event honoured recipients of the prestigious Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship. This initiative offers R100 000 annually for three years to top matric achievers.
Prof Moshabela welcomed the 26 scholarship recipients, many of whom shared heartfelt stories of how the scholarship had lifted financial burdens and opened doors to their dreams. From aspiring doctors to future chartered accountants, the students represent the next generation of leaders.
